Car Washing
Car washing is a needed service in many communities, get together with a few friends and armed with a sponge, shampoo and a car leather walk around your local area, when you see a dirty car knock on the owners front door and ask politely if they wouldl ike you to wash it for them. Do a good job and you could have a regular customer in weeks to come.

Dog Walking
Do you know any local residents with dogs, offer to walk them but remember to take a doggie poop bag with you in case they mess.

Pet Sitting
If a neighbor is taking a trip or holiday, then taking care of their house and/or pets may be an opportunity. This may include watering plants, and any other chores they may need. It could be somthing as simple as feeding the rabbit or goldfish.

Gardening
A little like the car washing, take a walk around and see if anyone needs their grass cutting or maybe they could do with some weeding, digging or bush trimming. In the winter time you could always offer to clear the snow and ice from a path or driveway.
